WoyUbu presents two plays, one on each side of the wall. Audience members choose a side and a role as observer of spectacle or consummate insider. On the Woyzeck side of the wall, the audience is invited to overload their senses, with large-scale visuals, surround sound, and and the intense presence of live actors. On the Ubu side of the wall, the audience are coopted, implicated in the behind the scenes manipulation of media and meanings. The WoyUbu collaborators include a diverse range of artists, technologists, and educators all of whom are committed to innovative new work that engages audiences as fellow collaborators. WoyUbu is particularly invested in the paradigm of games as a dominant means of social connection, communication and engagement. Rather than disdaining the pervasiveness of games in daily life, we see games as the means to explore key aspects of daily life.
